A small, read-only addon that records two things for the desktop app:
The app works without the addon. The addon only makes the data more precise.
addon/AuctionOracle to:
World of Warcraft\_classic_beta_\Interface\AddOns\AuctionOracle
The product folder may have a different name on your install. Use the one that contains WTF and Interface./reload.| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/ao ruleset normal |
Tells the addon which ruleset you play on (normal, pvp, rp, rppvp). The game API does not expose it. Do this once. |
/ao scan |
With the auction house open, asks for one full snapshot (C_AuctionHouse.ReplicateItems). Limited to one every 15 min (server cooldown). |
/ao recipes |
Records the recipes of the profession window that is currently open. This also happens automatically when you open a profession. |
/ao status / /ao clear |
Shows what is stored / deletes the stored scans. |
Then type /reload (or log out) so the game writes WTF\Account\<ACCOUNT>\SavedVariables\AuctionOracle.lua.
In the desktop app, open Settings → Addon SavedVariables path and point it at that file. It is imported at every collection. You can also import it by hand:
auction-oracle import-addon "C:\...\WTF\Account\NAME\SavedVariables\AuctionOracle.lua"
This addon only does things that the built-in UI and long-standing addons (Auctionator-style) also do:
PlaceBid, PostItem, CancelAuction or StartCommoditiesPurchase calls exist in the code.pcall.Read Blizzard's current UI Add-On Development Policy before redistributing the addon publicly.
GetRecipeSchematic follow the modern client (outputItemID, reagentSlotSchematics, quantityRequired). Every call is wrapped in pcall / nil checks, so if Forever's struct differs, recipes are skipped instead of causing errors. Check this in game with /ao recipes and then /ao status.
